Get to know some models of air pistols with magazines
Air pistols with a “magazine”, also known as air pistols with magazines or loaders, are often associated with airsoft (6 mm BBs) and have been gaining more and more fans among recreational shooters and collectors. The reason is simple: they offer a smoother, more practical shooting experience, closer to real firearms. Thanks to the magazine, it is possible to fire several shots in a row without manually reloading after each trigger pull, making practice more dynamic and enjoyable.
In this article we explain exactly what this term means in the context of air pistols and we show you a selection of airguns with magazines that are REALLY worth having in your collection.
What does “air pistol with magazine” mean?
When we talk about air pistols with magazines, we are referring to airguns equipped with a removable magazine, also known simply as a mag. This component stores multiple projectiles (pellets or metal BBs), allowing several consecutive shots without the need to reload manually after each shot.
The magazine may vary in capacity and shape depending on the model and operating system of the pistol. In CO2 versions, for example, it is common to find rotary or linear magazines holding between 8 and 20 rounds, powered by small CO2 cartridges. In PCP pistols, the magazine tends to have automatic rotation mechanisms and greater consistency between shots.
The main advantage of these pistols is their smooth and fast shooting performance, while providing a more realistic, engaging and fun experience.
